Senior Graphic Designer
Redline Communications Nov 2010 | May 2017
Redline creates wireless networks that enable communications in challenging and
remote locations. I was in the marketing department and looked after all creative.
Major Projects:
■ Website: I worked on redesigning their website to make it responsive, enhance
user experience and streamline it to allow for more lead generation, better SEO and
accessibility. We hired an agency to build it and I managed to save close to 40% of the
initial planning cost due to the upfront work put into it (content strategy and audit,
internal interviews, references, personas, sitemap, wireframes).
■ Product organization: Proposed naming conventions and got the product team to
align with them. What started as a label generation project turned into getting senior
management to think consistently and create a structure that would have a natural
evolution for the products.
■ Asset library: Created consistent marketing asset libraries (images, icons, slides).
■ Brand Guide: Actively pushed for and developed it.
Other than that, my day involved:
■ Designing: Strategic print and digital marketing collateral from concept to completion
| large scale graphics for trade shows | email newsletters | on-brand stationary and
templates | artwork for office decor.
■ Engaging in conceptual brainstorming, sketching and ideation.
■ Maintaining brand identity and standards across the company.
■ Managing the website and contributing to user interface design for company software.
■ Illustrating and/or sourcing icons and diagrams.
■ Assisting in the implementation of cost-effective booth builds.
■ Collaborating with various vendors, partners, printers and photographers.
■ Facilitating internal communications and working together with cross-functional teams.
■ Successfully delivering work on multiple projects under tight deadlines, minimal
supervision and budget without compromising my designer soul.
